Module 4 First Contact

Students will learn about certain indigenous populations who represent each of the 6 Aboriginal Cultural Areas of Canada. We'll not only look at their cultural traditions, social structures, and systems of governance but compare them with the Indigenous Peoples of other countries. In addition, key events in Canada's history between the Indigenous and Europeans will be examined including the economics behind the Fur Trade.
